Kitten Soft Snuggy and More Projects
The snuggy I'm crocheting of Kitten Soft mohair is coming along really well. It is one of the projects whose directions make absolutely no sense when you read them, but once you are working through them step-by-step they make perfect sense. One change I am making is some shaping around the front of the neck. I'm thinking that the fold of fabric you see there in the photos would drive me nuts, so I'm just taking out a few rows there by short-rowing each side and tapering it down with single and half crochets. Then I'll do the final three rows across the whole thing in regular double crochet, so I should end up with a little scoop neck which will fit against my neck comfortably. Depending on how much I get done tonight, I'll post a photo with tomorrow's update.My neck yarn-based project is going to be two watch caps, one for my husband and one for his father. I'd knitted a gorgeous one of super-soft merino wool which he left laying around and a puppy chewed it up. He got a wool one from the store that he says is itchy, so I've agreed to replace the original. I've decided to start on the Artist's Way again this weekend and do one chapter a week...though I'm not going to flog myself if some chapters take two weeks. I really want to get through it this time!
